He's baaack!

On Tuesday, Tiger Woods - who apologized last month for cheating on his wife Elin with numerous women - announced he is returning to golf Apr. 8 to play in the Masters tournament in Augusta, Ga.

In a statement, the golfer, 34, said:

"The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta.

Look back on Tiger Woods' worst week ever

"The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it's been a while since I last played.

"I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy and I am continuing my treatment. Although I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.

See unforgettable sports scandals!

"When I finally got into a position to think about competitive golf again, it became apparent to me that the Masters would be the earliest I could play. I called both Joe Lewis and Arnold Palmer and expressed my regrets for not attending the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I again want to thank them both for their support and their understanding. Those are fantastic tournaments and I look forward to competing in them again.

See Tiger and his wife through the years

"I would also like to thank the Augusta National members and staff for their support. I have deep appreciation for everything that they do to create a wonderful event for the benefit of the game."

Ugh, wish this lying, cheating, low-life trash of a guy would just DISAPPEAR. Sad Elin is tied to him forever because of the kids, it's been said she would have been otherwise gone in an instant from this creeps life. She doesn't need any money, the kids will always be taken care of, from photos we've seen recently, she still is keeping her distance from him. She can never forgive him, who could? The pathetic, sicko FOOL should have just stayed single and done what he wanted. Yeeew he's nasty.

Your right about him being accepted back like he has done nothing wrong and that is pathetic but what is worse is his wife taking him back!Sure he has a bajillion dollars but she could have it too even if she left his sorry a s s!!She certianly is not staying with him for his looks or because she "loves him" because how can you love someone who has betrayed you in such a manner as he did.And not only betrayed her but their children also. Can't say that I feel bad for his mom tho because his dad did it to her....any woman who would put up with a cheater deserves what she gets. That is a choice they make.Wake up Elin and move on...with half girlfriend!!Think of those kids too!!

    Hey Tiger....bring some condoms.

The negativity of the commentary is pathetic. This guy is a golfer, he is not running the country. Let him golf and stop picking apart every move he makes. He owes us nothing except a good game of golf. He didn't ask anybody to put him on a pedestal. If you don't like him, don't watch. If you go to the Masters to heckle, stay home. Some of us like to watch a good game of golf.

What a joke- A long time away? It's been no time at all. He's a liar, cheat and sexual mess. He'll probably being doing the nasty in the bathroom with some ho-bag!

Called it! He will be welcomed back with open arms. Like he never did anything wrong. Pathetic.

  • March 16, 2010 - 2:07pm I'll pass

I was actually looking forward to the Masters this year but so much for that now. Even though I'm not a golfer myself, I've always watched that one tournament, mostly because the course is so beautiful (love those azaleas!) I knew that even if Lion Cheetah didn't play, he would be all they'd talk about but at least he wouldn't actually be there. Now it will be wall-to-wall Tiger and I'm sure everybody will give him a free pass and welcome him back with open arms just like nothing had happened. Hypocrites.

The only thing that matters to Tiger (Cheetah) Woods is his image. He's not sorry he cheated, he is sorry he got caught. If he hadn't been caught, he would probably have a few more on the string by now.

It will be a circus at the Masters this year. Ratings will be the highest ever, with people waiting to see Stevie yelling at the patrons, and Tiger putting his balls in the rough and trees.
