Tiger Woods' Wife Skips Press Conference

Tiger Woods' wife Elin skipped his much-hyped press conference Friday morning.
Instead, Woods, 34, stood alone in sports coat and dress shirt as he addressed a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at the clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass, home of the PGA Tour, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. (The Golf Writers Association of America boycotted the conference because Woods did not allow reporters to ask any questions.)
"I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in," he began.

He later said, "People want to know how I could have done these things to my wife and my children."
He went on to say that "Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage of my behavior."

He said his apology will not come through words, but "it will come from my behavior over time. We have a lot to discuss."
But he added: "What we say to each other will stay between the two of us."

He also said that he was "angered" by reports that Elin, 30, hit him the night before Thanksgiving.
He said his wife deserves "praise, not blame."

Whether or not Elin would appear at Friday's conference had been speculated. Initial reports said she would not attend, but she caused chatter Thursday -- the day before her husband's mea culpa -- by stepping out in head-to-toe Nike wear. Nike has refused to drop Woods as its spokesperson, despite his sex scandal.

He was angry during this press conference, not sincere, not apologetic. He has to expect to be bothered by the media, that comes with fame, the fame that made him wealthy in endorsements, so this is the downside of fame, the media all up in your business. So he has to take the bad with the good. He's a complete coward to be such a scheming, cheating liar.
Who is worse? Elin or that ghetto Vanessa Bryant? Both have chosen $$$ over dignity, class, respect, honesty, faithfulnes, and trust in a marriage. Both woman can be bought. Vanessa is just more ghetto about it. How can that woman wear that stupid ring her rapist husband bought her? How can she not think of her husband raping and making some poor hotel employee's a$$ bleed whenever she so "proudly" looks at the stupid junk ring that creep bought her? We have reached a new low in society when someone thinks some gaudy piece of junk on her finger makes a violent crime like rape "all better". All of these people, Kobe, Vanessa, Tiger and Elin and broken, hollow empty shells of human beings.
Elin was smart not to go to the conference. This is is only about Tiger and Tiger alone, how he failed to live up to his marital responsibilities and how to rectify and resolve their marriage. Tigers speech was just a cover up, showed no remorse. He did look lost though

I agree with "kadi". The women he cheated with knew he was married and kept their mouths shut until he got caught. Then suddenly everyone wanted to be interviewed and everyone one of these hoo.kers (and that's exactly what they are)were requesting interviews to tell their side of the story. And of course the tabloids had a field day and were willing to pay big bucks for it. But not one of these cheap trashy wh.ores said they were sorry for their involvement in bringing him down. Like Monica Lewinsky, they set him up. All for the mighty dollar. And yet, I can't think of anyone who believes these tramps deserve any kind of sympathy. And if there is anyone out there who does, they are in it for the money too.

I think the women he cheated w/ are so much worse than he is. They continue to have diarehha of the mouth and continue to hurt Elin over & over & over. these women will say ANY thing to have five minutes of attention & a few $. They do not care one iota that they helped break up this family & home. All they cared about was what they wanted & what they could get out of it!
I do not think Elin should divorece Tiger. If she does there would plently of moral-less women ready to jump into her shoes & be the next Mrs. Tiger Woods. Those women would be step mother to her children. I would not allow those women to so much as touch my child. If they can stay married, live seperately & she can hold Tiger's feet to the fire & force him to become a better man for the sake of her & the kids then I say stay.
I like Elin a lot! I am really praying for her to have strenght & wisdom to get through this for however is best for her & her kids. I think Tiger is sorry & he did a good job today. I do belive we can change as human beings. I hope this family mends. Even though the women who knowingly slept w/ a maried man will be there every step of the way to get thier 5 minutes of fame & a few bucks. The man has problems. Rehab is a hiding place. Hes probably lounging beside a pool drinking fruity drinks! He is a player plain and simple. Men like him do not change. what is he talking about being angry elin was accused of hitting him and she should be praised not blamed, no one would blame her for hitting him, only for not hitting him. i praise her if she DID knock him out. that just goes to show he STILL thinks so highly of himself!
I give Elin and Tiger my ut most admiration for the handling of their situation at this time, plse. Tiger do no listen to Donald Trump who needs to learn the lesson of getting into Tigers feelings and hurt not his own or what he thinks Tiger should do I don't think some of his behavior has any merit in counseling ......think twice Donald....why not consider what is Tiger wants and what is right for Tiger in his heart that was as clear as a bell in his press conference......
