"The damage that we've seen to people's homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable," the two said in a statement to UsMagazine.com. "But we've seen the spirit of our community first hand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help. We all need to continue to support those in need in anyway that we can, and for that reason we could not be more appreciative to all of the artists, the companies and the people behind the scenes, who collectively, will make June 22nd a truly special night."

The two recently surveyed the staggering damage done by recent floods. "I'm just kind of in shock right now," she told CNN.

Faith and Tim are beautiful people inside and out. Helping along side other country artists to clean up the mess from the floods. That's what country music is all about. It's always nice to hear how despite their busy careers, they are always there to help any way they can.

All these country stars call Nashville their home. So basically they are just helping out their neighbors. That's what our city is all about. You don't see us on the national news begging for government assistance. We are taking care of ourselves with the help of friends and neighbors like Tim, Faith, Taylor and many more.

Thank God for Faith and Tim--cuz you won't see any money from Obamas D.C. they are sending all the money to non- Americans---Haiti---they hate poor white people!!

I love Tim & Faith more and more everyday. They have been helping people in need for years!! Neighbors Keeper, their children hospital for kids with cancer, Tug McGraw Foundation that helps people with brain cancer, too many to mention, and I'm happy people are finding out, they have been doing this for years. Thank you Tim & Faith. Always a fan.

I agree. Why does Nashville get all the attention? For that matter why doesn't the United States in general get more assitance rather than all these third world countries.

They have many wonderful causes and help so many; thanks. Can the nation step up and truly help the Cedar Rapids, IA victims from their flood of July 2008?! So much of our farmland is there with families still homeless; promised funds still lacking. Let's try!

Also, I don't mean they grew up here, but they maintain actual residency here.

LOL-That is because Tim and Faith live here! Along with the others. Mileys other home is here in the Nashville area. They may not be here 24/7 but they all have homes here!

I am also shocked and horrified but even more so because we just had a horrific flood in RI that affected the entire state and not one celeb that is from here stepped it up. I am by no means demeaning the horror in nashville but why is it that certain events get the help and others do not. The economy in RI is already one of the worst in the country and an event like a horrifying flood only intensifies that damage. My heart goes out to those in Nashville, but stays with my state in RI where no one but Rhode Islanders stepped up to help each other despite many having lost everything.
