Former Growing Pains stars Kirk Cameron and Tracey Gold are mourning the death of their costar Andrew Koenig, whose body was found Thursday in a Vancouver park after he committed suicide.
"It is with great sorrow to hear about the final outcome of the search for my old friend Andrew," Cameron, 39, tells UsMagazine.com. "I hope everyone will be sensitive to the Koenigs and give the family some private time to reflect and to grieve the loss of their beloved son. At a time like this, we are all reminded of the briefness of life and the importance of being ready for our eternal destination. My prayers will continue to be with Andrew's family."
Adds Gold, 40: "Today is a sad day. My heart is broken for Andrew's family. I have such great memories of Andrew and our time together on Growing Pains."

27Kathy, also, your punctuation is appalling. To answer your original question; Stay in school but this time sit in a chair that faces the board.

OMG! You call yourself an educator? Seriously? No wonder kids are practically illiterate these days. After noticing a spelling error in your first post, you re-post with a correction and make five more. You should be ashamed of yourself. Fail!
it seems as if his life was a cliche..forever in someone's shadow..depressing....

Loved Boner. I wish there were no such thing as depression. It sticks!
RIP ANDREW
Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I think it's tacky for Koenig's celebrity friends to be tweeting their condolences.
This so sad. RIP Andrew :-(
It is with sadness that I am writing this. Depression is an ugly disease of which we know so little about. I find that depression is so hard on the family members and significant others of those affected with this. Andrew was extraordinary, he had a beautiful soul, and he is already missed. If he only knew how much he was loved and admired. He sits on high now, safe and forever beautiful
I can't believe how this tragedy has affected me. I keep reading it over and over hoping the ending will be different. Some people are just not meant for this world. I think Andrew was one of those people. I hope he has found his peace and I pray his family will too.
I had such a HUGE crush on Boner. Anytime I ever watched that show, was because he was on there. Other than him, I hated that show.
I grew up with growing pains, and Boner will be missed. I remember him and mike was always thinking of new ways and ideas to getthat always seemed to get them into trouble.! LOL RIP Andrew (Boner) you touch so many lives and will never be forgotton. You were gone too soon. My heart and Prayers go out to his family, but also the cast of Growing Pains. This is a sad day.
It breaks my heart when someone who battles depression dies. Knowing how depression effects one's life and their happiness, its a shame to see depression win over someone. I wish he could have found a way to overcome that horrible illness. May he rest in peace and hopefully, be in a happier place.
It's nice that Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold & others are remembering Andrew Koening, etc.
Very nice that the Growing Pains cast are coming out and saying nice things about Andrew. Who knows why people get depressed? My thoughts and prayers to Andrews family. I hope Andrew is at peace now.
Yes, I will reminisce with you. I LOVED Growing Pains too. Boner and Mike were actually one of the first television show bromances. Andrew made the most of his small part by making me look forward to episodes that Boner was in. I was so afraid that Andrew had taken his life. My heart is broken.
My condolences to the his family. I used to watch Growing Pains...loved his character....he was such a cutie and seemed like a very sweet person. He will be missed.
