Prayers for Spencer. New details have surfaced pertaining to Spencer Stone's stabbing incident. As previously reported, the Airman First Class — hailed a hero with pals Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler when they thwarted a terrorist attack in France in August — was seriously injured outside a bar after a night out with four friends in Sacramento, Calif., on Thursday, Oct. 8.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Stone, 23, got into an altercation with two or three men around 12:45 a.m. near 21st and K streets early Thursday. At the time, he reportedly stepped in to defend a 24-year-old woman who was arguing with her boyfriend.

"There was a dispute that led to the altercation," Sacramento Deputy Police Chief Ken Bernard told reporters. "There were conversations, and then it continued down the block where the stabbing took place."

Stone was stabbed in the torso multiple times. He's in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. The bloody and violent confrontation was captured on a surveillance video. The clip shows blood bleeding through Stone's shirt and the woman fleeing the scene with two men.

"Everybody send prayers out to the stone family today," Skarlatos, who is currently competing on Dancing With the Stars, tweeted on Thursday. "Spencer is one tough guy. And only he could have done something like that and lived, yet again."
