UPDATE: Comedy Central announced that Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday, Nov. 4. “We’re happy to report the procedure went well and he is currently recuperating from the surgery,” the network wrote on its official Twitter page. “As a result, The Daily Show will air an encore tonight. We expect he and the show will be back with an original episode tomorrow.”
ORIGINAL STORY: The daily scoop! Trevor Noah has gone public with his model girlfriend, Jordyn Taylor. The Daily Show host and Taylor were photographed holding hands while taking a stroll in New York City on Monday Nov. 2.
The South African comedian, 31, and Taylor, 24, kept it casual during their night out. Noah wore a jacket and dark jeans, while Taylor donned a white crop top and coat.
Us Weekly broke the news late last month that the two are dating. The couple met earlier this year and live together on the Upper West Side. Taylor previously moved from L.A., and models at auto shows for Ram Trucks.
The pair have kept mum about their relationship, but Taylor did support her beau on opening night of his new job. The comedian, who replaced Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, made his debut on the Comedy Central series on Sept. 28. “Tonight’s the night!” she captioned an Instagram pic of a Daily Show advertisement at the time. “Tune in at 11/10c.”
Noah was just as ecstatic about his first day. “This is surreal for me,” he said during his monologue. He joked: “I’m not going to lie, growing up in the dusty streets of South Africa, I never dreamed that one day I would have, well, two things really: an indoor toilet and a job as host of The Daily Show. And now I have both. I’m quite comfortable with one of them.”
