During a Friday appearance on Oprah Winfrey's talk show, Lady Gaga gifted the daytime legend with a pair of her chic signature Jean Paul Gaultier sunglasses and a hair bow. What was up with that krazy Kermit the Frog getup? Gaga says it was a social commentary about fur in fashion. [OMG]
--Conan O'Brien can count on the fact that he'll stay on TV regardless of how the late-night battle between he and Jay Leno pans out. In an open letter to the red-headed comic, Sons of Anarchy TV producer Kurt Sutter says he's keeping a guest starring role for O'Brien, blogging that there's "an IRA story line that will continue to play out this coming season and I could use a bad-ass O'Brien on my team. I had to make a double take, thought it was Whoopi Goldberg!! Egads O!
Just caught Ga-ga and Oprah, so impressed with G, so much art is born of pain and it's clear she's often in that place. But there was pain and sadness in her eyes and face, she canceled a show in the last few days. Not sure if it was before or after the quake in Haiti or if something else is going on. Just hope she's OK. Brilliant artist, tho'.
Oprah looks like Whoopie there!
It is great to see an original, talented, grateful person succeed. In our culture of non-talent reality stars and manufactured "singers" who dominate the airwaves, she is a welcome reprieve. Plus, when you can actually see her face, she is really beautiful.
