Howard Stern should be shot and hung up on a wall next to a moose in the deep south

Once Simon leaves, I'm just going to watch him on X Factor. American Idol is going to suck without him, and X Factor is almost the same thing: a singing competition. The difference? They'll have Simon. Don't think American Idol will be able to beat that.

if they put HOWARD STERN ON THE SHOW i can't stand him bad enough they have ELLEN on the show, i love this show but it is changing so much with different judges i love it the way it use to be..i think you will lose alot of people ..no kids and no older people and grandkids good luck to the show.

  • February 26, 2010 - 3:27pm Terry

NOT HOWARD STERN. I will never watch again. He is disgusting.

  • February 22, 2010 - 12:41pm Donna

You also need to reread the paragraph that Simon does not think that Sterns is a proper fit!

  • February 22, 2010 - 12:39pm Donna

This show is about ratings, not talent. Selecting Ellen was bizarre as she is not connected to the music industry. To bring Howard Stern on to replace Simon is simply ridiculous. Not only is he foul and a shock jock, but many people will turn the show off rather than watch him. Remember, it is about rating, not talent and certainly not about sexual orientation. To cal her a queer is just redundant. Sam you are truly disturbed and American Idol can and will survive without your bigoted and sick comments. You sound not only homophobic but disturbed.

Never would I be a fan again. He looks foul and is foul. His poor parents evidently did not know how to rear him. I have never heard anyone as "potty mouth" as he is.

  • February 20, 2010 - 1:29pm Howard? No way!

He'll ask all the girls to take their tops off!

  • February 20, 2010 - 10:52am meohmy

i agree, when simon leaves they better be careful who they replace him with cuz i will boycott this doomed show...it's already hanging on a thread by my ratings for my childrens sake

  • February 20, 2010 - 12:08am eMMe

Simon is right, and as well has every right to be dissatisfied with the "replacements" the show is making. Hello--it's a talent competition for singing, wtf do we need Howard Stern And Ellen DeGeneres for? I hope we are all smart enough to know that Stern doesn't work whether Simon says so or not. The Idol producers are schizo dumbA$$es. They will do ANYTHING to keep this show alive. IT'S OVER. GIVE IT UP ALREADY DAMMIT.

  • February 20, 2010 - 12:07am Misty

O! HECK NO!!! If they hire stern I will NEVER watch it again! And it is my absolute favorite show but I will say goodbye to it! NO WAY will he be anywhere near my children!

  • February 19, 2010 - 9:35pm Sam Bitner

Simon what is wrong with you?? Are you Gay or what? First you get rid of Paula and replace her with a queer now you wont a nother queer to replace you. I will never watch American Idol agaig. I thought more highley of you, poor judgement.

  • February 19, 2010 - 9:11pm charlotte ames

If stern gets on Idol it will never be seen in my home again, he is disgusting and foul.

  • February 19, 2010 - 7:15pm anon

Simon should watch what he says about Howard. Howard could eviscerate the poor guy. Simon's used to giving 1 or 2 sentence responses filled with dry humor and sarcasm. Howard can relentlessly go after you for hours, days, even years with a degree of hilarity and a degree of cruelty far surpassing anything Simon is capable of.
