How could there be any issues? In an exclusive clip from the Season 2 premiere of Married at First Sight: The First Year that FYI is sharing exclusively with Us Weekly, Jamie Otis admits their marriage is not as perfect as it was last season.
During the clip, Otis, who also competed on The Bachelor during Ben Flajnik’s season, is hanging up vow renewal photos with her mother-in-law, Bonnie Hehner, and admits “we were happy…we’re working on being that happy again.”
“Since Doug [Hehner] and I renewed our vows in St. Thomas, we’ve gone through ups and downs and I’m not expecting a fairy tale, but I want a solid marriage,” Otis explains in a confessional. “And I know Doug does too. But lately Doug and I haven’t connected at all, pretty much on any page, and we’re back to trying to figure what makes each other laugh and what makes each other happy, and trying not to get frustrated with each other.”
Married at First Sight: The First Year premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. on FYI.
