Not everyone had the time of their lives at Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' epic wedding on Saturday.

"It was awkward," one insider admits to Us Weekly of the super-lavish bash at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., which was taped for an E! special airing in October.

"There were 100 crew members everywhere," explains the insider, "and people kept complaining they almost got hit by five camera guys everywhere they went. "

Also hampering the special day for guests like Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria and nearly 500 other friends and family? The infernal racket! "The helicopters were so loud nobody could hear the ceremony," the insider said, adding that Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, wore microphones for the taping.

To keep the high-profile wedding (somewhat) under wraps, guests were also stripped of their cell phones; the Kardashian family even provided a "hotline number" to call from the premises to check in on guests' kids left behind at a hotel.

Still, despite those elements, plenty of revelers enjoyed the romantic, over-the-top night -- featuring a 6-foot cake, a Wolfgang Puck-catered meal, Robin Thicke serenading the couple and speeches from both sides of the family.

"It was amazing, absolutely gorgeous," another insider said.

A third source agreed. "It was amazing -- completely perfect!"

No-one said anything about the royal wedding being televised... hmmm. Seriously, people, you need to get over it. If you have to have your phone during a wedding, there is something REALLY wrong with you.

Please everyone has something to say about this wedding but Khloe's wedding was also on T.V but no one said anything leave her alone all you haters!

@Kelly...everyone was in black and white because that was the dress code that they sent out in the invites. Normally, I would say very elegant...but, for this wedding, maybe not.

ITS NOT THE KARDASHIAN CLAN FAULT IF THEY AFTER MONEY- -ITS THE NETWORKS AND MAGAZINES, BECAUSE IF THEY DIDNT PAY THE MONEY , IT WOULDNT HAPPEN..IM SURE SOME NETWORK PAID FOR THE WEDDING AND THEY GOINGG TO MAKE THEIR MONEY ALONG WITH THE FAMILY SELLINGIT TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER...WE HAVE TO BLAM OUR SOCIETY....if the network or magazines refused to pay them , see what would happen

Tricia, your comment had me laughing! I envisioned those primped and pampered Kardashian girls down on their knees "making 18 million dollars WEEDING." I think I would actually watch a K show if it featured them doing physical labor like that. Ha!

The only way they could EVER impress me is to tell me that all of the money made was given to charities...and list them as proof it was done!

  • August 22, 2011 - 4:42pm Tricia Didier Norene

I did read they made 18 million dollars from the weeding.

im sorry but i dont mean to be disrespectful but i do not care for kim or her family, i am getting tried of hearing about their wedding, they are not royalit, they will do anything for money and its sad!

They were probably afraid all the 100s of C-listers would take a photo in order to make back some of the money they no longer have. All they needed was to include Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt to the guest list to round out the tackiness of the event. Just the weirdest combo of people invited. I sure hope Kris wises up and gets out before it's too late. Though I'm sure this isn't hurting his career either.

Whatever makes that money for them in the end...it's being reported that they are selling the wedding day and kim's vegas bachelorette party to E! for 12-15 million dollars. Thats just disgusting I'm sorry!! Where is the real love in all of this?? It's all about a brand and money...nothing to do with love. Sad!!

  • August 22, 2011 - 3:49pm Lisa Lineses

This is sad :( so when she remembers her wedding day shes going to remember a camera crew and bunch of people who probably wont be around for long...sad

  • August 22, 2011 - 3:26pm Amy Barker

I think the whole family would sell their souls to the devil for publicity! Im sure the cameras will be on full blast catching every second of the honeymoon.. The next headline will be about another Kim K. sex tape! These people have no shame.. I think this wedding is a joke and wont last a year!

  • August 22, 2011 - 3:07pm Marina Barragan

of course her wedding was awkward. if is real love y would you need cameras and ppl behind you all the time. but ofcourse that is how she makes her money and doesn't know how to be without cameras. so y complain that ppl are breathing down your neck how do u call that real love if you wanted intamicy and a real true love wedding cameras didn't need to be there. can't wait to hear about her intimate private honeymoon..lol...

  • August 22, 2011 - 2:58pm Marina Barragan

it had to be awkward. cause real love and merriage shouldn't be so loud and complicated if it's real love you don't need all those cameras and ppl behind you. but ofcourse this is how she makes her money and if this is what you call happiness well y complain that ppl r breathing down you neck. i can't wait to see the intimated private honeymoon lol....

I wonder when the "real" wedding will be? This was just for the show. I wonder if they even had a marriage license.
