Who knew they were friends? Will Arnett and Don Johnson showed what a small town Hollywood really is when they stepped out together in Portofino, Italy, earlier this week. The two appear to be vacationing there with other pals and loved ones, including Johnson's second wife, Kelley Phleger.

The Arrested Development star, 44, and the Miami Vice alum, 64, were photographed strolling through the coastal village on Monday, June 23. Both were dressed casually—Arnett in a green T-shirt and gray shorts, and Johnson in a gray T-shirt, blue shorts, and a straw hat.

At one point during the afternoon, the two boarded a boat with several others in their group, and Arnett was spotted offering a toast as they rode around the harbor. The friends also enjoyed what looked like an al fresco lunch, followed hours later by a nice dinner.

The two actors actually have some shared history with the European country. Both stars appeared in the 2010 Kristen Bell rom-com When in Rome; Arnett played Antonio, an overzealous artist who chases Bell's character from Italy to New York, and Johnson had an uncredited role as her father.

Arnett also expressed admiration for Johnson by including the actor's work on Miami Vice among his "10 New TV Classics That Made Me Cry" list for Entertainment Weekly. Describing the specific moment he teared up, he wrote: "When Crockett came back after going too deep on Miami Vice, and they pulled their guns on him at his locker."

"They pulled their guns on Crockett!" he continued. "He gave his life to that job! He's good police!"

Also in Portofino this week was Kyle MacLachlan, who was photographed with wife Desiree Gruber. Like Arnett and Johnson, the Twin Peaks actor enjoyed a boat ride and dinner in the Italian city, though its unclear whether he and his fellow stars crossed paths.
