Sam Sarpong’s Death Mourned by Yo Momma Co-Host Wilmer Valderrama: “I Am So Sad and So Confused”

Wilmer Valderrama posted a tribute to his late Yo Momma co-host Sam Sarpong.

Sam Sarpong’s friends and family are still coming to terms with the tragic loss of the British-American model, actor, and TV personality. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, Sarpong’s Yo Momma co-host Wilmer Valderrama took to Instagram to pay tribute to him.

“I am so sad & so confused,” the That ‘70s Show alum, 35, began. “Sam did it all, believed in dreaming bigger than anyone around him.. We made memories together that will last us forever, thank you for sharing your talent with me and the world.. You were a light everywhere you went and I couldn’t be more proud of the journey you traveled.. You just left us too early Sam.. We will miss you and pray for you.”

Sharing a photo of himself with Sarpong and co-host Jason Everhart, Valderrama also mentioned the time the late star spent on the MTV series, which ran for two seasons from 2006 to 2007.

“Once again thank you for all those years you dedicated to our show, we couldn’t have done it without you!” he wrote. “Find your peace my brother!” 

The actor and longtime boyfriend of mental health advocate Demi Lovato also took the time to reach out to others who may be struggling.

Sarpong died on Monday, Oct. 26 at the age of 40. Prior to his death by apparent suicide, he had a seven-hour exchange with police before jumping off a bridge in Pasadena, Calif.
