Ah, the World Cup! Everyone’s excuse to watch sweat-covered men sprint down the field for the honor of their respective countries. And while patriotism is all well and good, sexiness does not discriminate based on country.

Since the 2014 World Cup kicked off in Brazil on June 12, we’ve been treated to seeing the most ripped soccer stars on the globe leaving it all on the field for the chance to take home a victory.

Here are Us Weekly’s hottest picks:

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)

The sexy team captain and forward has abs for days, which he showed off during the Germany vs. Portugal game on June 16.

2. Kyle Beckerman (USA)

The dreads, the chiseled stomach, the tattoos! American midfielder Beckerman makes us feel quite patriotic.

3. Mats Hummels (Germany)

His sculpted goatee makes German defender Hummels look like a soccer-playing Captain Jack Sparrow.

4. Daniel Sturridge (England)

Not only did he score England’s only goal against Italy on June 14, but forward Sturridge is rather easy on the eyes too. Talent and looks!

5. Xabi Alonso (Spain)

Sorry, ladies, this sexy Spanish midfielder has been married since 2009. That doesn’t mean you have to look away, though!

6. Andre Almeida (Portugal)

At 23, Portugese defender Almeida is relatively young, but he’s certainly got moves!

7. Salomon Kalou (Ivory Coast)

The multi-talented soccer star played for many years for British team Chelsea, but he looks just as good in the Ivory Coast’s orange uniform.

8. John Anthony Brooks (USA)

The Team USA defender’s enthusiasm is contagious, and his goal against Ghana helped propel America to a major win on June 16.

9. Claudio Marchisio (Italy)

Sposami! The Italian midfielder managed to score one of his team’s two goals against England on June 14, helping lead Italy to victory.

10. Ehsan Hajsafi (Iran)

Iran’s June 16 game against Nigeria ended in no scores for either team, but with a defender like Hajsafi, this one goes to the Middle East!
