“I know exactly the day — November 15,” the reality star, 52, said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “That was a conversation I had [with David].” They announced their divorce two weeks later, on December 1.

When Cohen asked if she felt blindsided, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star replied, “Yeah, I didn’t think that was the end of the road. I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well.”

In a preview clip from next week’s RHOBH reunion (airing on Bravo on Tuesday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET), Foster spoke about the toll her long battle with Lyme disease took on her relationship with the Grammy-winning music producer.

“You can’t imagine how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all the time,” she said.

“David didn’t change, I’m the one who changed,” she added. “And this is the outcome of that.”

While some have taken aim at the music star for not standing by his wife as she battled the chronic illness, Foster defended him in the clip, saying, “I don’t think anybody should criticize that.”

Foster also told Cohen on Tuesday that she speaks to her ex — “We’re in touch a little bit, here and there” — and confirmed that she signed a prenup when they wed in 2011. Asked if she had any regrets about the financial arrangement, she replied, “Not at all. I married for love not for money.”

The former model, who appeared on WWHL with pal Erika Girardi, also spoke about her run-ins this season with Lisa Vanderpump, calling their relationship “a Hollywood friendship.”

“Our friendship has always been superficial,” she said, “but I don’t think she hates me.”

Foster also explained why she didn’t confide in the other Housewives about the trouble in her marriage, explaining that the divorce came after they’d finished filming.

“After this season I didn’t feel that any of the women were a safe place to go to and discuss my marital problems,” she said. “I confided in Erika and she was by my side and that was the only place I felt safe.”
