Yolanda Foster: I’m “Hopeful” for a “Happy Future With Love” in My Heart

Here’s to a better 2016. Yolanda Foster is hoping for a “future with love” following her split from husband David Foster. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum opened up about moving into a new apartment, her health and more on Tuesday, December 15.

As previously reported, Yolanda, 51, and the record producer, 66, are divorcing after four years of marriage. Multiple sources told Us Weekly that busy schedules and Yolanda’s battle with Lyme disease contributed to their breakup. She’s recently moved into her own place following the announcement.

“A new week, a new chapter in my life,” she wrote on her Bravo blog. “Time to get back to my boxes…I know it’s going to be a slow process, but I can’t wait to make this new space feel like a happy home.”

She added: “In the meantime I continue to stay focused on my children. Having made great strides in the past six months, I remain hopeful and determined for a healthy future with love, light, and gratitude in my heart, because I am beyond blessed after all…”

Yolanda also used the post to discuss her health — and to call out Taylor Armstrong. During a new episode of RHOBH on Tuesday, Armstrong brought up Yolanda’s Lyme disease diagnosis in a conversation with Lisa Rinna. “It’s a little much,” Armstrong, 44, said, implying that Yolanda might not be as sick as she says. (As Us exclusively reported, David thinks his ex-wife is “exaggerating” her illness.)

Yolanda responded via her blog, describing Armstrong’s comments as a result of ignorance. “Maybe it should anger me, but instead it makes me want to fight harder and speak louder for those whose voices can’t be heard,” she wrote on Tuesday. “Before being a Housewife and suffering from a chronic illness, I was a Super Mom. Today I do the best that I can. I cheer from the sidelines, I watch from afar, but anyone who is a mother knows the frustration and inadequacy one feels when physically your health keeps you from participating in your children’s lives with the strength you once had. I’ve missed my daughters’ first runway shows, birthday parties, award shows, Anwar’s football and soccer games.”

Despite the setbacks, Yolanda is staying positive and making improvements each day. In fact, she revealed via Twitter that she’s able to write again on her own. “I am very excited to have the ability to write again-Great progress from last year,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Her supportive children also cheer her up. “You [are] an angel! What a great blog mommy I love you,” Bella, 19, tweeted. Gigi, 20, added: “You’re amazing.”
