Character building. A day after announcing her divorce from David Foster, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster shared several motivational "notes to self" via Twitter on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The statuesque former model, 51, and her Grammy-winning producer husband, 66, announced in a joint statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, Dec. 1, that they were divorcing after four years of marriage.
"We are grateful for the years we've spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best," the couple told Us. "I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we've learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another."
As multiple sources have previously told Us, Yolanda and David have been "separated for months." However, the two remained together until they figured out how to handle their split publicly. Though they attempted to work out their issues — including his busy travel schedule, her debilitating Lyme disease, and long periods of time apart — they ultimately "knew it wouldn't work," according to one insider.
David's absence amidst her health travails was mentioned on the Season 6 premiere episode of RHOBH on Tuesday, which aired hours after the couple announced their divorce. "Things got really bad when she got sick. She didn't think he was there for her," another source told Us. "He would take off for days at a time."
Despite their split, Yolanda told her fans on Wednesday that she was still on great terms with her ex. "We've grown apart," she tweeted. "But my love & respect for @officialdfoster is still the same, he's been very good 2 me so pls don't judge our journey!"
