No regrets here! Zayn Malik is enjoying his time out of the spotlight and on vacation with his fiancée Perrie Edwards. The 22-year-old singer, who broke fans hearts when he exited One Direction last week, shared an affectionate-looking photo of himself kissing his fiancee on the cheek on Monday, April 1.
“Oui,” the former bandmate captioned the sweet snap.
Malik, who announced he was leaving the globally successful boy band because he wanted to experience life as a regular 22-year-old, took a private jet with his ladylove on Tuesday, March 31, before touching down in the seaside location.
Following his dramatic departure, which left teens everywhere — as well as Harry Styles — in tears, Malik’s fellow former bandmate Liam Payne spoke out about their group’s loss.
“This last week has been some of the worst times, possibly the worst it’s something we are all deeply saddened by,” he wrote on Twitter. “It’s sad to think for the time being we won’t grace the stage as five bros or have the same fun on a tour bus or laughs in a hotel together that we have over the years but I’m super sure us and Zayn will always remain the closest friends… it’s ok to be sad and upset but I do ask everyone who is a fan of us to please keep ur faith in us I’m sure there’s a lot more to come,” he concluded in the emotional statement.
Prior to exiting the group, Malik faced rumors he had cheated on Edwards. “I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f—ks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like,” he wrote on Twitter on March 18, debunking the claims.
