Having met Clooney when he filmed The Peacemaker in Paris in 1996, the French waitress followed him to L.A. where they continued to date until 1999. In an interview with Esquire, Clooney blamed their breakup on his fear of intimacy. "She lasted as long as I think she was going to last," he admits.
