“I’m glad people find it funny … but at the same time, I think people were very worried about the election,” Alec said. “Both sides are very passionate so it’s been a very, very difficult time in this country. I haven’t felt like this in a long, long time. There are bad feelings on both sides, so to have the opportunity to give people a chance to talk and laugh about it is a good thing.”

The former 30 Rock star again returned to SNL as Trump for a sketch mocking the real estate mogul’s habit of tweeting during the show’s cold open on Saturday, December 3. The skit, which showed the Republican retweeting a teenager during a security briefing, prompted the president-elect to lash out on Twitter and call the show “unwatchable.” In reply, Baldwin promised to stop if Trump would release his tax returns.

Closer to home, Baldwin also revealed that he fell in love instantly when he spotted his future wife at a restaurant in New York. “As far as love at first sight, it was for me, but I think a lot of people have fallen in love at first sight with Hilaria … I’m in a long line of people in love with Hilaria, and for some strange reason, I won,” the 58 -year-old said of the yoga studio owner, 32, who recently authored a new lifestyle book, Living Clearly, which will be published later this month.

The Baldwins also said they are raising their daughter Carmen, 3, to be bilingual, and that Alec is learning Spanish – slowly. “Carmen’s first language is Spanish. I only speak Spanish to her” said Hilaria, who is a native of Mallorca, Spain. Their daughter switches to English to speak to her dad, who is learning Spanish. “It’s really difficult to keep up. Maybe by the time I’m 90, I’ll nail it,” he joked.
