Met Gala 2016: Alicia Vikander Wears a Louis Vuitton Mini, Booties: Love It or Hate It?

Raging against the machine! Alicia Vikander wore Louis Vuitton to the 2016 Costume Institute Gala. The actress and model, 27, walked the red carpet with Nicolas Ghesquieré, the brand’s creative director, in a minidress with an asymmetrical hem. The frock’s top was fashioned to look like a bustier. A sheath of gold sequins shone underneath. Her mixed media skirt featured the same sequins, as well as bronze embroidery and a panel of black satin. Scarlet high-heeled booties and Bulgari jewels added finishing touches.

Vikander was already in Louis Vuitton’s good graces. She’s the face of the the brand’s new handbag, called The Twist, and she won her first Oscar while wearing a yellow princess-style gown from the house.
