Verdict: Amal looked damn sexy last night!
With her husband, George Clooney, by her side, Amal Alamuddin stepped out to support the 100 LIVES Initiative on Tuesday, March 10, in NYC, and the British barrister donned quite the flirty ensemble for the occasion.
Alamuddin, 37, modeled a sleeveless, navy blue dress that boasted peekaboo lacework up each side, creating the illusion of flashed skin. She teamed the piece with a printed, top-handle bag. Plus, she worked her signature beauty look: a fresh blowout paired with a marsala lip.
Likewise, her husband, 53, looked equally fetching by her side, complementing her cool-toned dress with a slate suit, pale blue shirt, and a sapphire tie.
An avid philanthropist, Clooney gave an impassioned speech about human rights at the charity event, which marked the centennial of the Armenian genocide. "I am honored to be associated with 100 LIVES, as it shares a common mission with my foundation, Not On Our Watch, to focus global attention on the impact of genocide as well as putting resources towards ending mass atrocities around the world," he told the audience.
Alamuddin shares her husband's passion for the cause, as she's fought to defend the Armenian genocide's existence in the past. In 2013, she went before Europe's top human rights court to argue against a man who stated that the 1915 genocide ever took place.
The London-based couple, who married this past September, have been spending lots of time in the Big Apple lately while Clooney films his next movie, Money Monster (also starring Julia Roberts). Additionally, Alamuddin just scored herself a new job as a teacher at Columbia Law School, which may make their stay a little more permanent.
