Blake Lively Becomes a Redhead!

Blake Lively channeled The Little Mermaid's Ariel on Tuesday in NYC. The naturally blonde Gossip Girl actress, 23, debuted red hair for the Time 100 Most Influential People Gala at Time Warner Center.

"I've had it for about six weeks now," Lively explained on the red carpet.

"I'm in a film called Hick and I'm a redhead for it," she told Us Weekly. Due out in 2012, Lively stars as a character named "Glenda" in Hick -- about a Nebraska gal (Chloe Moretz) who heads out to Las Vegas -- which also features Alec Baldwin, Juliette Lewis and Rory Culkin.

7I never understood why they cast her as Serena. Serena was supposed to be ethereal and angelic looking. Blake is average.
She looks like Leann. The eyes especially.
At a quick glance she kind of rmeinds me of Angie Everheart.
