For Knightley’s look at the Toronto International Film Festival, Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee used the cherry-red Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Flamboyante. “First, I applied the color in a very precise way using a lip brush to sculpt the shape and softened out the lip line with a Q-tip,” she tells Us Weekly. “I then used Laura Mercier Invisible Powder to keep the lip soft at the edges and then applied the color again just in the center of the lip. The result is a diffused lip line, which is very modern and easy to wear.”

For Byrne’s bright lip at the Toronto International Film Festival, celeb makeup artist Georgie Eisdell used Chanel Rouge Allure Lip Color in Incandescente. “I wanted her skin and eyes to be natural and clean, because I wanted to add warmth and a pop of color to the fall look,” Eisdell tells Us.
