More than one fashion icon was born at Friday's royal wedding: Duchess Catherine may have wowed the world in two custom-designed dresses by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton (one for the ceremony, another for an evening reception) -- but the royal bride's sister Pippa Middleton nearly stole the show in two eye-catching looks of her own (an ivory Sarah Burton for the service, and a sexy green Alice Temperly for the nightime party). See more photos Pippa's chic style.

And the Maid of Honor, 27, didn't disappoint on the day after the historic nuptials. Exiting London's Goring Hotel with her parents Carole and Michael and brother James, the socialite and entrepreneur was chic and low-key with a bright-blue blazer with gold buttons, tan blouse, white denim and tan flats.

Despite Saturday's late-night festivities, Pippa and her entire family glowed as they waved to well-wishers.

Pippa's new fans have an interest in more than just her beauty and elegant style: Many want her to make a love connection with Prince Harry! Although William's little brother, 26, already has a girlfriend (fellow wedding attendee Chelsy Davy), a popular Facebook group has already popped up urging the sexy sibs to hook up. Entitled "Pippa Middleton is single -- Prince Harry likes this," the group now boasts over 63,000 fans as of Saturday afternoon.

I totally agree with you Isabel, the trash we have now for young people to copy are all trashy. It amazes me they have millions thanks to the fools that make them rich. Porn stars are no idols for kids.

Kate and Pippa are great role models for American girls/young women. These ladies are classy unlike any American celebrity we have now. And they are prettier than our celebrities. So refreshing to see normal boobs, no tattoos, brunette instead of fake blond, etc. Hopefully these classy, beauties will set a trend in America.

I like it..looks great. They dress so classy, and neat looking.

Its almost like the Middleton sisters are trying too hard for the "timeless, classy" look. There's a fine line and this one didn't make it! She and her outfit look old!

Far better she be someone to look up to, especially for the young, then the trash out there now. Kardashians, especially the slob Kim, Kendra whose porn movie was just as bad, the teenies pregnancy shows, and all the other garbage out there. Even Britney and Jessica, and all the rest who have trouble keeping their clothes on around tweenies in performing. I think this is just fine.

I absolutely LOVED Pippa's dress at the wedding (I didn't care for the green dress she changed into later for the reception), but I hate this outfit. It looks so 1980s or early 1990s.

love her handbag, who makes it?

Well, I agree we glom on to people for "idol" status too easily. I mean, "fashion icon"?? Really?? Putting a blazer with jeans makes you a fashion icon? Spending thousands on a dress because you can, makes you a fashion icon? I think not. She is a beautiful girl, dresses well, and is going to get noticed by association with her Princess sister now. That is as far as it goes. No need to make her into something more than she is.

If the Kardashians are celebrities, everyone should be celebrities. And this lady certainly looks much better and is more admirable than any of the Kardashians. What, Elizabeth Aspen, do you just idiolize people like the Kardashians (they wouldn't let me say what I wanted).

  • April 30, 2011 - 3:24pm Elizabeth Aspen

Unbelievable. Now the media is trying to make this complete nobody into some celebrity. Hey, why don't we just make the 90-year-old crazy lady on my block a celebrity too, since it seems that easy to do. Ridiculous.
