She’s got jokes! Chrissy Teigen poked fun at John Legend’s look after they hit Kim Kardashian’s GQ party in Los Angeles Tuesday, June 28. The model and the “Glory” singer both looked California cool for their date night, which included dinner at Tuck Room Tavern, but Legend’s outfit gave Teigen some #tbt-worthy flashbacks.
“Look at john lookin like a hot senior that got held back 19 years 🔥🔥🔥,” Teigen, 30, captioned the Wednesday, June 29 Instagram. “I love you my handsome man!”
In her defense, Legend, 37, did give varsity vibes. He styled a black-and-white Dior bomber, complete with sporty stripes on the collar and cuffs, with a black Henley T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. His teammate, Teigen, showed off her postbaby curves in a white Sergio Hudson dress with a plunging neckline and a formfitting pencil skirt and Lucite Yeezy season 2 sandals. She added a splash of color with a bright red lip.
Legend, who’s known for his classic aesthetic, has admitted that his sartorial choices have changed over the years. “As I’ve gotten older, my clothes have gotten simpler, cleaner,” he once told The New York Times.
Fatherhood has probably altered his swag as well. The dad to Luna, who was born in April, told Us Weekly that wild nights out (and the opportunity to dress up!) are a rarity these days. “I’m actually home a lot. I’m on sort of a paternity leave right now,” he told Us in May. Even though he’s temporarily out of the spotlight, Teigen enjoys showing him off. In a May 16 Instagram, she called him a DILF!
“Well, I’m glad at least one person wants to f–k me,” he joked with Us.
