When this pic of Keira Knightley — with her new sexy, cropped bob and massive lashes — crossed my desk, my jaw dropped! Unbelievably stunning — this is definitely my fave red carpet look of the past few days. The star's makeup pro, the divine Kate Lee, tells UsMagazine.com about the inspiration behind the look.
"Keira is one of my favorite canvasses. She has magnificent bone structure and beautiful features. It's always hard to choose which one to play up!" Lee tells Us. "For this look, I went with her eyes, as I thought a strong, elegant eye would accentuate her new cut."
To create the smokey eye, Lee used only cream shadows ("to make the look slightly more modern," she says) in taupe, grey and silver, then added black eyeliner along the bottom and top lashlines. Lots of black mascara was used to accentuate lashes, plus Lee added a few clumps of individual lashes in a "random pattern." To finish the look, she used a nude lipcolor and nude-peach blush.
