Someone has a secret Grease obsession!
Emily Blunt stepped out to two big events this weekend—the Academy’s Governors Awards on Saturday, Nov. 8, and the 2014 Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards presented by Los Angeles Confidential magazine on Sunday, Nov. 9—and she channeled the Pink Ladies both times.
For the Academy of Motion Picture and Arts event, Blunt—on the arm of her husband, John Krasinski—popped on the red carpet in a fuchsia dress by Michael Kors, a piece embellished with dozens of tiny posies in the same shade. On her lovely face, she added a statement lip in the same exact color as her bold ensemble.
But one rosy dress was simply not enough! The next day, at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards, Blunt, 31, gussied herself up in a light pink tea-length dress with three-quarter sleeves by Jenny Packham. For the slightly more causal ensemble, she left her blonde bob down and whipped out another coordinating shade of lipstick—this time, a pearly pink.
We don’t often see Blunt rocking pink, but then again, she is a self-proclaimed style chameleon. “I like to mix it up and be a bit more courageous,” the Devil Wears Prada actress told InStyle in 2013. “I don’t feel I have any particular style. I’m willing to experiment.”
Of course, she wasn’t the only one pink lady this weekend: Reese Witherspoon chose a hot pink dressed with flutter sleeves by Ralph Lauren Collection, also for the Academy event. And Michelle Monaghan paired the hue with sandstone on her sexy, slitted color-block dress by J. Mendel.
