The red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday proved to be the best accessory for several of tinseltown's hottest TV stars, who stepped out in old Hollywood-inspired gowns with sexy, form-fitting bodices and mini trains.

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, 22, stunned in a strapless Donna Kara gown, which she paired with sparkling Neil Lane jewels and Brian Atwood heels.

Sofia Vergara, 39, flaunted her curves in a Vera Wang number, which she complemented with Colombian emerald earrings. The Modern Family actress received a nod for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Kate Winslet looked chic in a cap-sleeved Elie Saab bandage dress, which she claimed that despite its body-hugging design, was "really comfortable." However, that wasn't the only sexy attribute: the getup also featured a plunging, cleavage-baring neckline.
