Gigi Hadid dressed with a flair for the nostalgic on Thursday, April 7, in NYC. She stepped out in a low-key pink and black ensemble that showed off her love for the ’90s kids’ show Power Rangers.
The Maybelline spokesperson, 20, rocked a plain pastel sweatshirt, topped with a black silk bomber and paired with edgy leather pants. While the separates were enough for a girly-meets-edgy street style ensemble, Hadid finished with striking accessories: Saint Laurent booties, Elizabeth and James sunglasses and a beanie that showed her appreciation for the pink Ranger.
She gave fans an even closer view of her hat (available at Spencer’s for only $17) in her Snapchat story, writing, “gogopowerrangerzzzzz.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model’s comfy aesthetic comes naturally to her, as she grew up near the beach. “I guess I am your typical just-graduated-high-school-in-Malibu type of girl,” Hadid has said to Into the Gloss. “Our school was just across from Zuma beach, and we all wore Lululemons and bathing suit tops to go to the grocery store … Everything there is pretty laid back.”
