"We first spotted this runway-inspired silhouette on Kate Hudson when she wore a white backless Emilio Pucci gown at the 2010 SAG Awards," says Us Weekly fashion director Sasha Charnin Morrison. "It's a great way for the stars to show some skin on the red carpet without being too revealing."

If you want to rock a bare back dress or top, the right undergarments are mandatory, says Morrison, who recommends stick-on bra cups like the ones by Nubra. And make sure that your rear view is bump-and-blemish free since it's practically impossible to apply concealer to your own back.
One last tip: Start practicing your over-the-shoulder pose.
