The Resident Advisors star, 33, tells Us Weekly exclusively that her look was a team effort. “I took a call with the design team and Michael Anderson [the brand’s senior vice president of design] over at Banana Republic, and they asked for my input. I described the silhouette I wanted,” she explains. “Car-wash skirt, deep V and a pop of color either in cobalt blue or a bright red.”

Banana Republic followed Chung’s wishes down to a T. She showed glimpses of skin with the dress’ long keyhole cutout and thigh-high slit, and a fuchsia silk scarf was added to the neckline as a finishing touch.

“I felt sexy and confident in this custom-made gown, but it was still elegant. When the wind blew my skirt, I felt like I was floating. It really is a fun design!” the Once Upon a Time actress says.

If you want to stun like Chung, her $498 dress hits select Banana Republic stores in early August. But hurry! The piece is only available in limited qualities. For a heads up, text “DRESSED” to 89532 for an alert when the gown is up for grabs.

And if you need another reason to scoop up this frock, Chung assures that it’ll get lots of use.

“I’d wear it to a tropical beach or park wedding. Or to a dinner party, following up with some dancing. You should see how this dress moves. It’s beautiful!”
