Jenna Elfman: Why I Chopped Off My Hair

Jennifer Aniston isn't the only one taking a big hair plunge. Jenna Elfman recently snipped her shoulder-length mane into a sexy pixie cut.

"I’ve just been fantasizing about it since I was eleven --about having hair this short," the Friends With Benefits actress, 39, told UsMagazine.com of her new 'do at The Hollywood Reporter's Nominees' Night party Thursday. "And I honestly just never had the courage until lately."

And now that she's made the big snip -- inspired by fashion model Britt Maren -- Elfman is loving it.

"It felt liberating because there is also nothing you can do about it," she said.

Thankfully her little guys -- Story, 3, and Easton, 11 months, with hubby Bodhi Elfman -- approve of the new look.

"At first Story was like, ‘What did you do to your hair, I don’t like it,’" she admitted to Us. "And then he was like, ‘I like your hair Mama!’ And then the baby sort of stood staring it and then sort of reached up and pulled on it and smiled."
