Dare to bare! Ahead of the Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 23, Jennifer Lawrence wore a very revealing, short black dress to the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, Calif. on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Silver Linings Playbook star, who is nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards, showed sideboob and a lot of skin in the modern, backless Lanvin design. The jaw-dropping dress also features a metal, choker collar, bow at the waste, and asymmetrical skirt.
All eyes will be on Lawrence when she hits the Oscar red carpet Sunday, and the actress has already said she’s going all out with her fashion this year.
“Last time was comfort. This year, I’m like suck it up, wear a corset. I am going to go for fashion this time,” Lawrence, who was nominated for Best Actress in 2011 for Winter’s Bone, told reporters earlier this month. “I say that, but that’s the problem with the Oscars. They’re always at the end where you are just exhausted from dressing up, so I never care. Now, I will. Fashion.”
How will she keep her cool while getting ready for the big night?
“Eating calms me down,” she shared. “One year, I was wearing a skin-tight dress, and I ate a Philly cheesesteak. But then I had to double-Spanx it!”
