Exclusive: Jessica Simpson to Hand Out Beauty "Goddess" Award

Jessica Simpson is taking her Price of Beauty message to heart.
The VH1 reality star, 29, has been tapped to present the "Goddess" category at Good Housekeeping's 125th anniversary celebration in New York City April 12. The award goes to women who have changed lives through their sheer beauty, glamour and grace

"While traveling for my show The Price of Beauty, I've seen the different ways that beauty is defined around the world," Simpson says in a statement to UsMagazine.com. "I believe that true beauty comes from within a woman's spirit, mind, and inner strength. I am thrilled to be celebrating some of the greatest and most beautiful women of our time at Good Housekeeping's 125th Anniversary benefit for the National Women's History Museum."

Other stars slated to attend are Brooke Shields, Meryl Streep, Kristen Bell, Aretha Franklin, Candice Bergen and Fran Drescher.

Simpson traveled the world to film her show, which premiered to just 1 million viewers on March 15.

Her lame cable reality show got bad ratings for the premiere and was beat by tons of other stuff on cable. She lost 25% of the audience week two, only getting 790,000 viewers. It will be interesting to see how much lower the ratngs drop each week for the remainder of the shows. Maybe vh1 will quit showing them and show reruns of My Fair Brady instead. Don't expect a Season 2. Vanessa Minillo's NETWORK reality show averaged 5.3 million viewers, ranked in the top ten reality shows, and was picked up for a second season. Both Nick Lachey's network and mtv shows were picked up for a second season.

It's sad to think that there are so many hateful people in the world who write such ugly things about others. I don't see where Jessica is doing anything questionable. She is a real person who has natural beauty at any weight because of her heart. I have personally met her and she is such a doll.
