Julianne Hough seemed to be playing a game of hide-and-seek as she made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement to Brooks Laich.
While attending the Keep Collective and Kind Campaign Collaboration Social on Aug. 25 in Los Angeles, the Dancing With the Stars judge looked casual in a loose white top, [BLANKNYC] button-up jean shorts, and stacked heels. But her new statement accessory was nowhere to be seen: Hough strategically hid her 6-carat stunner designed by Lorraine Schwartz from the cameras by placing her left hand behind her back.
Hough, who also had a post-engagement haircut and color from longtime stylist Riawna Capri, was equally mum about her engagement ring — but she did fess up to one side effect of saying yes to her hockey player boyfriend. "My face hurts [from smiling!]: she exclusively told Us Weekly at the event.
Instead, Hough kept the focus on the jewelry line’s partnership with the Kind Campaign, a non-profit organization that promotes awareness to end girl-against-girl "crime." "I was bullied in high school, and I think we’ve all either been bullied or maybe done a little bullying ourselves," she told Us. "So I feel like anybody should have this close to their heart."
