The actress, 35, turned heads at the evening fêting the release of Braff's Kickstarter-funded independent film, in which Braff stars with Hudson. The hot mother of two went goth-glam for the star-studded affair at Manhattan's Lincoln Square Theater, which was also attended by Donald Faison, Ashley Greene, and Josh Gad.
Hudson chose a slinky black strapless gown by Michael Kors for the event. The floor-length number featured a sequined bustier top with a plunging neckline and a large, triangle-shaped cutout at the midriff, which offered a peek at Hudson's toned stomach.
Because the dress wasn't already making enough of a statement, Hudson opted for a zebra-patterned Edie Parker clasp-top clutch, her own Kate Hudson for Chrome Hearts jewelry, and towering Aruna Seth two-toned heels.
She added even more drama with a blackberry lip color and sleek, side-parted hair.
After taking a bit of a break from the big screen, Hudson returns to films with the debut of Wish I Was Here. She appears in the dramedy alongside Braff, Gad, Joey King, and Jim Parsons, among others.
