Middleton, 34, donned the L.K.Bennett Addison Printed Silk Dress with sheer sleeves and a dotted, jewel-toned print ($468). She cinched the 100-percent silk piece with a navy belt, and accessorized with blue-stoned baubles and blue suede shoes. Her signature bouncy blowout was also on display.

But she wasn’t the only stunner! After meeting with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip earlier in the day, Mrs. Obama, 52, held her own against the trend-setting duchess in a nude top and matching lace skirt, topped off by a terracotta Narciso Rodriguez coat. Suede caramel ankle-strap pumps by Jimmy Choo and a white clutch completed the ensemble.

The royals stood on the steps of the palace waiting for the Obamas to arrive. Once they did, Barack called out, “There you are! Hello!” William apologized, “Sorry about the weather. You’ve had a long day,” to which the president replied, “We’ve enjoyed it.” They all shook hands, though Harry, who met Michelle when she visited with her daughters, Malia and Sasha, in 2015, kissed the first lady on both cheeks.

An onlooker tells Us that once the group stepped inside, little Prince George, 2, clad in a white robe with his name on it, was waiting (up past his 7 p.m. bedtime!) to meet the Obamas.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met the Obamas for the first time in May 2011, shortly after their royal wedding.
