She wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Kate Upton channeled a Victorian-era flamenco dancer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday, May 5, and later opted for a sexier look at the Met Gala after party.

The supermodel, who walked the red carpet with Domenico Dolce, wore a black Chantilly lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, embroidered with horizontal strips of ruching and corseted in the back. Bundled atop Upton's blonde hair was a voluminous, nest-inspired black headpiece from the same designer.

"Getting ready for the met is so stressful," Upton, 21, wrote via Instagram before the bash. Beside her caption was a picture of the supermodel lounging on a comfy couch and resting her hand atop a customized Moet & Chandon bottle. "#justkidding," she added.

After fashion's biggest annual event, Upton swapped her heavy-looking, elaborate ensemble for a cute laced and caped outfit at the Met Gala after party. The star looked much more like herself in a cream-color, black embroidered lace minidress, which accentuated her curvy physique and toned legs, as she stepped into the Boom Boom Room.
