She wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Kate Upton channeled a Victorian-era flamenco dancer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday, May 5, and later opted for a sexier look at the Met Gala after party.

The supermodel, who walked the red carpet with Domenico Dolce, wore a black Chantilly lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, embroidered with horizontal strips of ruching and corseted in the back. Bundled atop Upton’s blonde hair was a voluminous, nest-inspired black headpiece from the same designer.

“Getting ready for the met is so stressful,” Upton, 21, wrote via Instagram before the bash. Beside her caption was a picture of the supermodel lounging on a comfy couch and resting her hand atop a customized Moet & Chandon bottle. “#justkidding,” she added.

After fashion’s biggest annual event, Upton swapped her heavy-looking, elaborate ensemble for a cute laced and caped outfit at the Met Gala after party. The star looked much more like herself in a cream-color, black embroidered lace minidress, which accentuated her curvy physique and toned legs, as she stepped into the Boom Boom Room.

An observer inside the bash at the NYC hotspot tells Us Weekly that Upton partied with fellow Sports Illustrated cover girl Lily Aldridge.
