Keeping it casual! Kylie Jenner supported her dad, Caitlyn Jenner, at the annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday, Nov. 9, in NYC. And while the transgender icon modeled a sleek, off-the-shoulder gown, the 18-year-old reality star chose a style that was a teensy bit more low-key.
Backstage at the event, Kylie was snapped hugging Caitlyn, 66, while wearing a black top with skinny jeans and slip-on sneakers. She also worked a denim jacket, which boasted distressed details, as well as a sash around one arm.
On the other end of the spectrum, Caitlyn, who was named the Transgender Champion, stunned in a royal blue dress by Moschino Couture! by Jeremy Scott, which she teamed with diamond baubles. She finished the look with an elegant bouffant hairstyle.
So what happened? According to Kylie, there was a bit of an issue with her chosen ensemble for the evening. “Had some major wardrobe malfunctions but that couldn’t stop me from supporting the ones I love,” she wrote via Instagram. She also added, “You’re amazing @caitlynjenner congrats on being woman of the year for @glamourmag.”
And indeed, the I Am Cait star felt the love. Before taking the stage to accept the swirling statuette, Caitlyn told the audience in a video montage, “I am so blessed I have family. And not one of them has abandoned me; they’ve all been [in] support of me. It’s incredible.”
