Lady Gaga didn't lose her over-the-top fashion sense at 2010's Grammys.
Keeping a stern face, the 23-year-old singer walked the red carpet in a silk orb-like Giorgio Armani Prive dress.
"We hear Lady Gaga’s music everywhere we go," Armani said in a statement to UsMagazine.com. "It is like a soundtrack of our times. In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon. I am delighted to be creating these outfits on such an important night for her, the Grammys, and I wish her the best of luck."
Gaga was thrilled with the look.
"I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening," she said in a statement to Us. "The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist. Mr. Armani is a fashion legend, and tonight would not have been the same without his touch, and his wonderful team."
Her outfit left everyone speechless.
"I thought, Is that Lady Gaga or is it somebody who wants us to think they're Lady Gaga?" remarked E!'s Ryan Seacrest.
E!'s Giuliana Rancic wasn't impressed. "First of all, I was going to wear that dress!" she joked. "That would've been a fashion disaster!" After hearing that Lady Gaga could make some best dressed lists, Rancic sighed, "Come on, really?!"
Joked Stephen Colbert: "I know her second outfit. They're just gonna spray her down with glue and run her through a Build-a-Bear workshop!"
Lady Gaga, up for five nominations, already swept two categories, winning the dance recording prize for "Poker Face" and electronic/dance album prize for The Fame. She is also nominated for album, song and record of the year.
