Dazzling with diamonds, darling!
Lady Gaga’s newest top-selling jazz album, Cheek To Cheek, with Tony Bennett is all about bringing forth the sophisticated aura of an older time.
For the artwork to her single “Anything Goes,” Gaga, 28, depended on a costume designer who could really capture the glamorous essence of the early jazz era. For that, she and her team turned to Gail Be Designs.
The intricate headpiece, which cost $7,500, features a drip jewel design, which covers the top of the “Born This Way” singers head in a fashion reminiscent of the 1920s. The matching beaded “Erotic Ice Top” is priced at a whopping 40,000.
For Be, the opportunity to dress Gaga, who has been an inspiration for the designer was a dream come true. “I think fashion is art and Lady Gaga is the epitome of someone who gets it,” Be told Us. “She is not only a music icon, but a fashion icon.”
