Not your average date night! Lauren Scruggs and Jason Kennedy made their red carpet debut as husband and wife at the premiere of The Gallows on Tuesday, July 7, in L.A.

The couple, who said “I do” in December, posed with their arms around each other, with Kennedy, 33, leaning in at one point to give his new wife, 26, a kiss on the forehead. The model looked radiant in a plunging, pale-pink jumpsuit, while the E! News correspondent rocked a gray T-shirt and gray jeans.

The outing was the pair’s first red carpet event since their wedding almost seven months ago. They exchanged vows on Dec. 12 at the Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas, with guests including Candice Crawford Romo, Giuliana Rancic, Catt Sadler, and Kathie Lee Gifford, whose daughter Cassidy has a starring role in The Gallows.

In a statement about their wedding from E!, Kennedy gushed that his bride had “changed everything” for him. “God has blessed me with somebody I’ve been waiting for my whole life…” he shared. “I can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with her.”

The feeling is mutual. Scruggs — who lost her left arm and eye in a tragic plane accident in 2011 — told Gifford’s Today show colleague Savannah Guthrie this past March that she feels lucky to have a loving husband and a still-thriving career.

“I think it shows that life is awesome. It shows that through tragedy, there’s always a brighter side,” she said at the time. “I mean, life is better now, which is crazy, and I loved life before. I hope that brings hope to people.”
