Sexy Queen Cersei! Lena Headey proved there is a right way to go sheer — ahem, Miley Cyrus — while walking the red carpet of the 2013 Emmy Awards outside the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sept. 22. The 39-year-old actress stunned in a black, see-through Alessandra Rich dress that showed off her flawless figure.
The Game of Thrones star's gown featured a printed fishnet design with long sleeves and a high-slit. Though Headey showed her cleavage by going braless under the sheer bodice, she wore solid black, high-waisted underwear on the bottom. The gorgeous British actress, who play the conniving, blonde Cersei Lannister on Game of Thrones, accessorized the look with a side-swept, wavy updo, white Lamb shoes and Tina Thor jewels. (On the show, Headey hides her shoulder-length brunette hair with a long blonde wig to play Lannister.)
In an interview with Conan O'Brien in June, Headey said she has to wear an extremely restrictive corset for Game of Thrones. "They lock you in. Then on top of that, they put belts," she said. "At 5 a.m. it's not fun because you just want to eat breakfast . . . You can't get out of it, [but] it's good because it kind of makes you angry, so I channel that for Cersei. And then when they take it off, it's heaven."
The popular HBO series was nominated for Outstanding Drama series, but lost to AMC's Breaking Bad.
