When you think of Disney, you think of whimsy, color, and happiness. Well, thanks to Marc by Marc Jacobs’ limited-edition holiday collection, a capsule inspired by the animated Alice in Wonderland film, you can add high-fashion fierceness to the list, too.
The capsule is named “I Am Not Like Other Girls,” and indeed, the collection is a lesson in subtle whimsy. It boasts a wallet with just the line sketch of Alice’s flared skirt and Mary Jane shoes. There’s also a black tee with a teeny Cheshire Cat smile in one corner, a silver double ring that reads “This Way” on arrows pointed in opposite directions, and a black and white iPad case with the film’s singing flowers.
Of course, you can’t make a collection inspired by the Tecnhicolor masterpiece without a few statement pieces! That same floral chorus appears in color on a backpack, on scarves, and on little change purses, too, where you can really appreciate their mischievous faces.
