It’s official: Margot Robbie is our 2014 awards season red carpet crush.
While many actresses choose to play the red carpet safe — especially during awards show season — the Wolf of Wall Street star, 23, wowed once again in a chic backless jumpsuit at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Jan. 16 in Santa Monica. The jaw-dropping black number by Elie Saab has us mesmerized with its sexy simplicity — and its stark contrast to her cream gown at the Golden Globes.
The Australian beauty’s head-turning Gucci gown with emerald embellishment was a show-stopper at the Golden Globes, and hopefully it’s a sign of more statement-making looks to come by the Hollywood newcomer.
Robbie’s sexy role as Leonardo DiCaprio‘s wife in The Wolf of Wall Street has catapulted the actress to instant sex symbol status. However, she admitted that filming those scandalous scenes with DiCaprio, 39, wasn’t all fun. “I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It’s not as glamorous as it sounds,” she has said. “If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash: don’t. Or maybe real money is a bit softer, but the fake money is like paper, and when I got up off the bed, I turned around to get my robe and everyone gasped. I said, ‘What is it?’ And they said, ‘You look like you’ve been whipped a million times. Your back is covered in a thousand red scratches.'”
