Air Force One must not have baggage restrictions, because first lady Michelle Obama seems to have packed to the nines for her UK trip with husband President Barack Obama. During her Tuesday London excursion alone, the style icon switched up her outfit multiple times. But it comes as no surprise since the 47-year-old is no stranger to smart, chic, figure-flattering fashion choices.
In the morning, while meeting the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace, Obama wore an icy blue brocaded a-line dress by California designer Barbara Tfank, which she paired with a purple bolero and a House of Lavande 1940s Hobe brooch.
In the afternoon, Obama donned a violet dress by Roksanda Ilincic and accessorized it with a House of Lavande 1960s jeweled belt during a visit to 10 Downing Street.
And at the State Dinner, which took place at Buckingham Palace, the first lady looked like a goddess in an ivory Tom Ford evening gown. The dress, which showed off her toned shoulders, also paid tribute to the traditional color one should wear to a State occasion.
