Name: Ann Curry

Occupation: Co-anchor of the Today show

Crowd pleaser: "I look for clothes that are happy, comfortable, bold and simple," says the married mom of two, who took the co-anchor post of NBC's morning blockbuster in June. "When people see me in the morning, I want them to feel happy. I want them to feel comfort, and I want them to maybe even be slightly inspired."

In bloom: "I've been getting these tulip dresses from Zara," says Curry. "I have them in four or five different colors. They're great! When I find something like a $99 dress that can stand up next to Matt Lauer, I am a happy camper!" The audience apparently approves: After Curry donned a paisley blue Zara tulip dress and a pair of pink Christian Louboutins, the show was overwhelmed with emails, calls and tweets about her outfit. Laughs Curry, "I almost became a trending topic!"

Hue's that girl: "I've started to embrace color in a way that girlfriends have been wanting me to for years," says Curry, who's lived in NYC since 1990. "When I see a bright yellow on somebody, it just makes me happier."

Everyday dressing: "When I'm not on TV, I have an outfit I pretty much wear all the time: a white, non-iron Brooks Brothers shirt with a colorful cardigan, a pair of jeans and either moccasins or flip flops," says Curry. "I am most comfortable in a pair of blue jeans and flip flops or clogs, but those things don't go over well on morning national television!"

Quote: "The best fashion advice I've gotten is, 'If it makes you happy, wear it. If you don't like it, don't buy it, don't even think about it. Don't stress about it, just follow your gut and it'll guide you.'"
