MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Trend: Stars Show Skin in Crop Tops and Cutouts
So much skin! Stars went bold at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13, showing off their bodies in belly-baring crop tops and creatively skimpy cutouts.
Singer Goulding, who performed with Zedd at the awards show, hit the red carpet in a chic Giorgio Armani dress featuring subtle cutouts at the waist. The floor-length white gown was a classy look for Goulding, 27, who also wore Jimmy Choo shoes and metallic jewelry.
Style darling Alba, 32, made the crop top red carpet-ready, looking perfectly sunny in a cheery yellow Kenzo skirt and showing a sliver of her taut tummy in a white Piece D’anarchive bandeau top. She accessorized the two-piece outfit with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Narciso Rodriguez clutch.
Rising star Woodley, who appeared at the event to promote her upcoming film The Fault In Our Stars, went high fashion in an army green Balmain dress. The knotted midriff cutout gave a crop top effect, accentuating her small waist with a bold statement belt. She topped off the look with roped Balmain shoes and David Yurman jewelry. "It’s me! It feels like me!" Woodley told Us exclusively about her outfit. "I get to be comfortable and then also fancy for an award show. And it’s like badass and I think the company is really cool."
Actress Jordana Brewster appeared at the event to pay tribute to her late costar and friend, Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker. She took the stage in a Fyodor Golan dress in shades of ivory and champagne. The sleek shift showed the tiniest bit of skin with a small geometric cutout above the waist. Brewster, 33, matched a pair of Henri Lepore Dezert shoes to the gold tone of her sexy dress.
Karina Smirnoff of Dancing With the Stars fame bared her belly button in a voluminous light gold crop top and a draped white skirt. She wore her hair back and showed some leg in a pair of peep-toe metallic heels.
