Here comes the bride, all dressed in shorts!
Olivia Palermo didn't disappoint for her surprise wedding to boyfriend of six years, Johannes Huebl. The fashionista, 28, wore a custom (and unexpected) look by Carolina Herrera for her June 28 nuptials in Bedford, New York.
While the bride did opt for traditional white, she added a modern twist. The three-piece outfit consisted of a cashmere sweater with ostrich feather accents, white shorts and a full tulle skirt. The ethereal confection featured a high front slit and floral details along the hem that highlighted Palermo's lean legs.
She finished her bridal look with something old and something blue—a bracelet she bought in India (and stud earrings by Alexandra Mor) and royal blue Manolo Blahniks.
The former The City star stuck to her trademark hair and beauty with understated styles. "I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean," Palermo wrote on her blog. "My hair was in an uncontrived Pony Tail, one of my favorite personal looks."
The groom complemented his bride with a matching white ensemble. He wore a bespoke tailored Marc Anthony Hamburg suit and shirt with a navy Charvet tie and navy Etro pocket square.
