While most stars are going blonder for summer, AnnaLynne McCord bucked the trend and stepped out sporting a dramatically darker hair color at the Artists for Peace Justice "A Ring to Educate a Child in Haiti" Launch Event in Beverly Hills Wednesday night.

The actress, 23, has been spending her summer in New York City where she's starring with Minka Kelly in the off-Broadway show, Love, Loss, & What I Wore.

According to her Twitter feed, the shade switch is for an upcoming role. "Okay! I'm NOT leaving 902 and the hair is for a movie I'm shooting right now. I adore all of you!! Xxx."
The CW recently announced that 90210 will return with a fourth season this fall.

11her bone structure is already so strong and her new hair just makes it seem harsh. it makes her look older. i prefer the blonde. its softens her face and makes her look tanner which i think makes her look great.
